It's a Rosalla x Rothkirch, hybridised by Edna Murphree. I had many of these seeds grow to maturity but none as pretty or as elegant as this one..
The closest to it in looks is Pink Panther, it looks just like Pink Panther in it's shape but the colour isn't the baby pink of PP.
It's the way that the colour comes in, that I find so charming, first the tips of the corollas, then the blush gradually travels up the corolla, deepening as it goes.
Of course from the time that it unfurls into a flower, it's lovely. Greenish yellow, then pure white, all the time flinging those lovely corolla tips about, that's when it' starts it's journey to the final all over pink.
The fact that the flowers seem to make the transition one at a time, only adds to it's charm.
I've never used it in any hybridising program. In my opinion, how can you improve on something that is perfect.
